The IAS is a teaching facility. Through our undergraduate internships and graduate student fellowships, we expose students throughout their education to career options in the arts, providing mentorship and valuable professional experience.

Undergraduate Student Internships

The IAS employs UC Santa Cruz students in through paid internships and other work opportunities year-round. Student interns and staff receive hands-on training in gallery operations, installation, exhibition research, visitor experience, and more. Students across all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

All student internship and staff applications are submitted online through Handshake, the UC Santa Cruz student employment system.
