Veriche Blackwell is the preparator at the Institute of Art and Sciences as well as the Mary Porter Sesnon Gallery. They feel immense pride in helping exhibitions come to life and particularly enjoy the problem solving and constant skill building which is critical to the position. They have worked in exhibitions in Santa Cruz for over 7 years and during that time have met and worked with so many incredible artists and art professionals they admire. When they aren’t obsessing over cord management, building walls, or nerding out over tools; they enjoy reading sci-fi, playing sports with their friends, and hanging out with their two cats.
