The IAS employs UC Santa Cruz students through paid internships and other work opportunities year-round. Student interns and gallery guides receive hands-on training in gallery operations, installation, exhibition research, art education, visitor experience, and more. Students across all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

All student internship and gallery guide applications are submitted online through Handshake, the UC Santa Cruz student employment system.

Select students majoring in the History of Art and Visual Culture (HAVC) Department are eligible each year to receive the Clare Wedding Student Enrichment Internship with the IAS. This competitive internship supports students pursuing practical experiences in the curation and display of art and visual culture.
