Members of Al-Haq’s Forensic Architecture Investigation Unit will discuss their debut exhibition They Are Shooting at Our Shadows, currently on view at the Institute of the Arts and Sciences. The historic exhibition was planned over thirteen months ago to introduce Al-Haq FAI Unit’s ground-breaking multi-media research and artworks amplifying Palestinian voices and experiences to U.S. audiences. While the Al-Haq FAI Unit originally planned to show a series of video works and installations documenting visual investigations undertaken since 2020, the scope of the exhibition has been adjusted to also reflect current events.
THIS EVENT IS FULL. If you wish to be added to the waitlist, please email ias@ucsc.edu.
Art, Palestine, and Liberation: Introducing Al-Haq’s Forensic Architecture Investigation Unit is part of a series of interdisciplinary public dialogues organized by Al-Haq in collaboration with the Visualizing Abolition initiative at UC Santa Cruz.
