Now Hiring IAS Gallery Attendants

We are looking for energetic and motivated student employees who want to gain professional experience in museum and arts careers, and are particularly interested in working at the intersections of art and social justice.

We invite you to apply to join the staff of the Institute of the Arts and Sciences, now in a new off-campus professional gallery space in the westside of Santa Cruz at 100 Panetta Avenue.

Gallery attendants contribute to the success of nationally significant art exhibitions and events engaging critical issues of our time. Current programs explore the movement for prison abolition, climate justice, the politics of borders, and more. Attendants help educate the campus community and the public about our exhibitions and programming by greeting and providing information to visitors. They also gain hands-on experience in gallery operations including but not limited to art handling, communications, administration, and installation/striking of exhibitions.

Must be a current undergraduate student at UC Santa Cruz to apply. To view the full job posting, visit this link. If you are work-study-eligible, please use this application link.

If you have any questions please email ias@ucsc.edu.
