Alexandra Moore, PhD, is currently a curator and head of academic programs.

At the IAS, Alex co-curated Barring Freedom, an exhibition critically examining the histories and structures of prisons in the US, and led the development of the accompanying educational materials. She co-organized the UC Santa Cruz Solitary Garden and the UC Santa Cruz Crochet Coral Reef.

Alex has taught at UC Santa Cruz, Sarah Lawrence College, and Appalachian State University and has published in various venues including Art Journal, Paris Review Daily, Platform Art Projects, and Journal of Curatorial Studies.
